Think back to when you were child and you imagined the strengths of the great leaders of the past, what qualities came to mind: Charisma, Perseverance, Intelligence, a strong Guiding Hand. Perhaps you tried to place yourself within the mindset of the villains of history and imagined Ruthlessness, Authority, and Totalitarianism as some of the qualities they possessed. I doubt you thought much about entitlement, nepotism, and narcissism but unlike most modern countries this is where the official leadership of the United States has degraded to.
Where other countries elect educated, first rank of excellence, officials who are put there to help the people who voted for them, the United States has entered an era electing self righteous narcissists with little education or experience. Then these elected C students, perhaps aware any qualified cabinet member will outshine them, bring in a host of untalented crackpots with no experience to run over decades of careful planning as they engage in unnecessary pet projects and assume their ego knows better than the accumulation of waves of human knowledge.
On a personal level I have a great deal of experience with narcissists, far more than I would have liked. I will also be the first to admit narcissists possess many strengths.
Narcissistic Strengths
- They tend to get what they want at least for the short term
- They can coerce others
- They can rise to leadership positions
- They can overshadow people with far greater intelligence
This is where we are as a country in the United States. While other countries are playing for keeps in the damaged world economy while resources dwindle, our ‘Power Brokers’ are just leeching onto the system like ticks hoping to drain what they can while everything grows weaker. Our resources, quality of life, economy, and health services all pay the price, while the current leaders say look at the reflecting pool.
When fools govern the country, other leaders are six moves ahead in three level Vulcan Chess, while ours are playing with crayons. tRump and his handpicked ship, or should I say jet of fools, couldn’t save the country, even if they tried, and they aren’t trying. They only know one move…”I deserve to have your things.”
Whether it is your middle school daughter, your job getting eaten by AI, or the house you can’t live in or sell because a billionaire made a Data Center behind it, they are coming to take your things. The money you make from your job, your tax money, your health services, your protection from being poisoned by companies, this is just the start, if they can find a way to take your farms or bites out of the national parks, they won’t hesitate. They don’t stop. They want people homeless and living in work camps.
The calm times are over. Just like the Jet of Fools, humans have eaten too much pie. We have two choices; we can try to make things better as a team or we can let the ignorant and the evil dash off to steal as much of the world they can before things really start to run out.
